Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are in grades 9-12 and attend a public school. My students work hard each day to learn the Spanish language. I praise them constantly and reward them for their efforts on classwork, exams, and honor roll status. When they get a bonus point or a homework coupon they want to achieve higher grades. My students enjoy receiving praises each day, but they deserve incentives as well for Student of the Month/Week, perfect attendance, excellent exam grades, being caught doing something good, a job well done, and most importantly, making it to the Honor Roll. From 170 students, 90 percent of them are honor roll status which means that they deserve a nice incentive.
My Project
I enjoy seeing my students learn Spanish and enjoy rewarding them by giving them incentives for doing well on exams, homework, class participation, good behavior, etc. However, I am not always able to provide incentives, only homework coupons or points, due to limited budget and supplies.I want to reward them with nice incentives such as goody bags filled with school supplies to show them that hard work pays off. My students enjoy receiving praises each day, but they deserve incentives as well for Student of the Month/Week, perfect attendance, excellent exam grades, being caught doing something good, a job well done, and most importantly, making it to the Honor Roll.
My students dedicate themselves to school each day and when they get rewarded by either a nice pen, pencil, eraser or folders they feel good that their teacher acknowledged and praised their hard work.
My goal is for students of different academic levels to be rewarded for a job well done for class work, class participation, winning a game, good exam grades, etc. These supplies (pens, pencils, grips, erasers, pencil sharpeners) will enhance their learning to aim for higher performance.I know that your generous donation will continue to make my students excel in their academic performance. They will continue to do better each day and be proud of their achievements in their Spanish classes.
