"Doing whatever it takes to ensure success for every child." That is our motto! Our students come from diverse backgrounds. Our nine hundred plus population receives free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students have experienced significant trauma in their lives and school is a safe space for many of them.

We hope to create a loving, caring, respectable learning environment by being sensitive to both their academic needs, as well as their social and emotional needs.
My Project
We started the year with a hybrid model of instruction. We split the students into two groups: A Day and B Day students. They have LIVE in person lessons 2 times a week and remote, asynchronous learning on the other 3 days of the week. But, as of November 11, we are fully remote.
Motivating my students to come to the LIVE Google Meet classes can sometimes be challenging.
So, to combat this, I want to have daily drawings and send little prizes to their home for some happy mail to help motivate them. Rewarding positive behaviors can help to increase intrinsic motivation and while we are in a remote setting, these incentives might fuel their fire!
