Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a variety of neighborhoods through our city. They are bright, eager, and talented kids who want to succeed in their educations and are willing to put in the work to accomplish their goals.
Students come from across the city to attend our school and desire to make the most of their education.
They are a great cross-section of America and have a great deal of potential which will greatly enhance and bless this nation. My students strive to be their best despite their struggles and difficulties.
My Project
These materials will be a huge and invaluable help to my students as they prepare for the rigors of high school English. The novel will also allow students to experience the the genre of historical fiction and also learn how to manage a more difficult novel. This experience will be vital to their success in Advanced Placement and dual credit classes that they may take in high school.
Students need access to great works of literature to broaden their minds and gain experience in this beautiful artform.
It will make them more well-rounded as students and as human beings. Literature can have a potent effect on future generations of learners.
