We work with an amazing group of motivated students from a high poverty area who are eager and ready to try new things.
The majority of our students do not have money in their pockets and neither do their parents. They do, however, have hope in their hearts and dreams in their heads!
Participating in an extracurricular activity where these students can work as a team and excel at something outside the classroom (an environment where a lot of them struggle) is the key to success for many of our students!
My Project
Participating in team sports builds confidence, ability to work with others and self-esteem. It is an area outside of the regular classroom where students can shine in a different way. Our students need track uniforms to represent their school with pride when competing at local track meets. In order to do this we are requesting 30 running shirts so that all of our competitors match and look professional while at the track meet.
Our students have trained hard and are excited to represent our school at the annual Trigg Invitational Track Meet in May.
