Mr. LaCoste from New Orleans LA is requesting musical instruments through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need 11 Dual Head Gooseneck Music Stand Lights with 4 LEDs and AC Adapter to help with reading music in the dark of the stage.

Our high school was founded in 1957 as a school for the gifted children of New Orleans. The founders had a vision. Inspired by the launch of Sputnik and the space race, an American educational revolution was just beginning. Our school opened ahead of the National Defense Education Act that would put a new focus on science and mathematics.
Many of my students have never touched an instrument before reaching high school.
I'm proud that they dare try and succeed.
Indeed, the accomplishments are not limited to the classroom. Our students excel at the arts. I lead the music department (entirely!) and serve 125 students: Beginning Band – Beginning Orchestra – Intermediate Band – Intermediate Orchestra – Advanced Band 1 – Advanced Orchestra 1 - Advanced Band 2 – Advanced Orchestra 2 – Talented and Music Class – Music Theory – Music Theory AP.
We organize two major concerts per year, and the orchestra plays at school events while the band plays at sports games. The orchestra participates in numerous outside-of-school functions.
My students are very active and we also work with the Drama department to put together theatrical (musicals) presentations.
Do you remember your first concert? It's exciting, but you are afraid you are going to miss a note. There are times when music looks like a pigeon has skipped on a piece of paper. Especially in the dark of the stage!
Playing publicly is enough stress; You don't need to be totally in the dark.
(not figuratively, hopefully!)
The light system we chose is a Proline PLD4A with dual arm flex light. It comes with a power adapter which is super convenient, as it can save batteries. The two flexible necks and four light levels allow two musicians to share the lights, which is helpful. The lights can be dimmed or set in full power, depending on the need.
Please let the light shine on our sheet music! Your gift will make a huge difference! It's going to be like night and day!
