My students need a Document Camera so that I will be able to project book pages in order to assist in visual textual analysis.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Bring books alive! A Document Camera will allow me to teach literature in a more interactive way. Not only will be able to project the text and demonstrate a close-passage analysis, but the students can practice with their classmates as well, offering a collaborate approach to literature!
My students are a part of a very challenging writing-based, team-taught, interdisciplinary magnet program.
The public school program combines classes in literature, art, philosophy, and sociology. The students are required to critically analyze and synthesize the curriculum from the four subject areas into essays, presentations, etc. They are creative, lively, and inspiring and when I am with them in the classroom, teaching is never "work", it is a way of life.
My Project
A Document Camera will change the way I am able to teach my English classes! Literature lessons will become more interactive and collaborative, hopefully inspiring students to engage more with the text and discover a love for language. Also, the Document Camera will be a wonderful study tool. I can capture images from classroom lessons and post them online, providing students with a plethora of examples and demonstrations.
Please help my students take literature to another level!
Students will be more engaged with the use of technology and visual components. Literature and language will come alive in a whole new way!
