Help me give my students a medical grade air purifier, Swiffer floor cleaning supplies, shoe deodorizers/protectors, and cubicles to protect them from viruses while creating a safe space for in person learning.

The students here are part of a new Performing Arts program in a public school in Roselle, NJ. Being the founder of this new program, has provided me with the chance to build from the ground up, and allowing my students to experience all that a dance class has to offer. This program has provided new equity and access to the arts for many of my students who did not have access to the arts outside of their school day. Over the past two years, my students have began to bond and forge new relationships within dance class that follow them throughout their day.
Creating a safe dance space for these students during these unprecedented times will allow them to feel protected and give them the opportunity to create and explore without fear.
With the kids showing a strong interest in the dance classroom over the past two years of working together, I believe that with these new safety guidelines, my middle school students can authentically learn in dance and explore college and career connections in dance.
Please help us create an even more safe space to protect my students socially, emotionally and most importantly physically.
While we explore all options for the future of learning, us teachers have to prepare for the unknown. Schools are working towards a hybrid blend of both in person and virtual teaching. It is no secret that humans learn better from in person interactions and the Medical grade Air Purifier and Swiffer floor cleaning supplies will allow my students to feel protected and safe during in person learning.
With all the unknowns, the dance space is a place to be creative in ways to help cope with the social emotional well being our students are currently dealing with.
These cubicles will provide a sense of ownership in a safe space for the students to place their belongings without worry and be able to fully invest in the learning environment. The shoe deodorizer and protectors will give my students options that will fit all needs in order to learn without worry.
Change is not easy for anyone, especially for the education system where in-person learning has always been the way to go. With your donations, this project could help give our students a sense of normalcy that could help them cope with all the rest of the "change" happening in the world. Help give our students a fighting chance to be able learn in person with all the safety measures in place to learn without fear. We are all in this together and these materials will help our students stay healthy socially, emotionally, and most importantly physically.
