Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am the only social studies teacher of a rural high school that does not have much access to technology. I teach a world geography class and I use quite a few paper maps and laminate them so the kids can write on them and then erase them. This product would give students the chance to work interactively with geography and help them to learn the countries of the world. This globe is also in Spanish and I have 25% ELL (English Language Learners) so they would also really like this product.
I teach 9-12 high school social studies. This globe would work well for all of my classes, but would be used extensively in world geography.
Our school is a rural school of 166 students, which means we do not have much money for buying technology. I would like this globe in that the students can interact with it to learn geography, even the ELL students. Having a hands-on project for non-English speakers as well as English speakers would be a benefit to both types of students.
I can put this globe in the "project" section of my classroom and students can use it when they are finished with their assignments. This will be an "extra" help resource for students as they study and we can also use this as a challenge tool for reviewing portions of the world. I would be very excited to get this product as would my students!
Please help to buy this English/Spanish globe for my students. I know they would love it and use it all the time. This is something the school will not purchase because there is not enough money to do so.
