My Students

I teach Kindergarten at a Title One School which serves mostly minority students. Most of them have very little and cannot afford to have the resources they need to excel academically, emotionally and physically. I love teaching my students the skills they need to succeed as an individual. I spend a large sum of my income to buy them materials to complete various tasks. With your help I will continue to provide them the basic things to educate them. Any donation will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

My Project

I have guided reading groups to help my struggling readers learn sight words and high-frequency words to read. Most of my students are struggling readers who are missing the necessary skills to decode words. I want to provide them additional support to build on the skills taught during guided reading. I have rotations and so the library is one of them where students can practice those good reading skills. I want my students to leave Kindergarten as good readers! With your donation of books, my students can be exposed to a variety of reading materials and have the opportunity to check out books to take home to read.
