My Students

I teach in a small town in a rural area of West Virginia. Our area has widespread poverty and many of my students don't get to experience things outside of our county. They are excited to learn about and experience new things.

My students are eager, caring, and hardworking individuals.

They want to do their best and strive to meet the expectations set for them. Th​ey enjoy hands-on activities, working in small groups, and using technology. I want to offer them the best educational experience possible.

My Project

I teach at a low-income school in rural West Virginia. Sometimes our students don't have what they need because their parents are unable to provide them with the basic school supplies. This means that students do not have things they need until I can provide it for them.

My students are eager to please & willing to work, but it is easier if I have the supplies they need so I don't have to ask parents for donations or buy things myself.

Our grade level is departmentalized so we color-code​ our subjects to make it easier for the students to be organized. Please help me give my students basic school supplies such as two-pocket folders, notebooks, pencils, and glue sticks for ELA & Social Studies. The toothbrush holders are for them to keep their pencils organized as we switch classes. I am also asking for copy paper so that I am able to print & copy their assignments. We also use a lot of tape & need magnets to hang assignments, posters, charts, etc. on the board.
