Most of my students are from low income families and are considered "at risk". Our school is considered a "Title 1" school however, this year we did not receive any of the funding that come with that Title. My students tell me they feel like they are in prison instead of school.
They need something to look forward to, something that says "You ARE worth something!" My art classes were supposed to be the medium that allowed these children realize their worth, but I have nothing to work with.
My Project
Having different art materials from 'Blick Art Materials' would be wonderful for my students. With different materials, I will be able to expand my lessons and have students enjoy creating all kinds of artwork with different mediums. Students will be able to re-create pieces of artwork while learning about different artists and their stories throughout history.

It is my goal to provide as much joy for my students as possible and with your help, we can make sure that my students know that they are worth something, that they are talented and that they can overcome whatever situation they happen to be in.
The follow pieces of art supplies sitting in my cart is for multiple projects that can be used for my Art Appreciation class. These kids are eager and excited to experiment with various art mediums. I would love to be able to provide different materials for my students, they deserve it.

The Sakura Cray-Pas Junior Artist Oil Pastels, Reeves Large Oil Pastel Set - Assorted Colors, Set of , Copperplate Paper - 22" x 30", White, Single Sheet, Sharpie Ultra-Fine Point Marker, Sharpie Fine Point Marker Set, and Bienfang Parchment 100 Fine Tracing Paper will help my students create and experiment with a variety of projects.
