This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a math teacher at an elementary school in the South Bronx. I have exciting math projects featuring hands-on, concrete math experiences with children. Often this requires multiple copies to be available according to the project. I need access to a copier that will provide me with a limited numbers of copies at a short notice. For example, I am doing a geometry project that requires copies of outlines of solid shapes to make a solid shape mobile. Each student will need a separate set of copies of the shapes. In order for students to become good mathematical thinkers, they must be able to internalize math by using concrete experiences. A small copier will be a great asset to our math program.
