I am a Special Education Teacher in a low-income/high poverty school with nearly 700 students in grades Pre-K to 6th. Eighty-four percent are high needs. Fifty eight percent of our students are economically disadvantaged, thirty-four percent are students with disabilities and forty-eight percent are English language learners. Our school houses numerous programs for children with Autism. As you can see we are a community of diverse learners.
My students, who are all diagnosed with autism, are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
They are very kind, caring, enthusiastic and eager to learn. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things exciting and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences that will help them believe in themselves and be successful.
My Project
I was lucky enough to have a laserjet ink printer funded through Donors Choose at the beginning of the school year, Well, here we are at the end of March and we are not going to make it to the end of the school year with the ink that was included with this project..
We need ink for our colorjet printer to ensure we can continue to print for the next three months.
My project is for HP 410A Magenta Original LaserJet Toner Cartridge, HP 410A Cyan Original LaserJet Toner Cartridge, HP 410A Yellow Original LaserJet Toner Cartridge and HP 410A Black Original LaserJet Toner Cartridge.
This ink will allow me to continue to print differentiated lesson plans, activities and reading materials for my very diverse students. We rely on this printer to not only produce and copy student work but also to print the wonderful online materials that I can use to meet the needs of all my diverse learners in our very special subseperate classroom.
This ink will allow me to give all my students the materials they need to address their learning goals and increase academic learning.
