In Case of Emergency....

My students need, along with their school staff and volunteers, to stay warm in the event of an emergency or natural disaster. We need 38 mylar thermal blankets.

My Students

Staying warm, such a basic need yet in case of emergency not being warm or dry could be life threatening. A simple and somewhat inexpensive way to keep everyone safe is to add one Mylar blanket per person to our emergency kits.

Our Public Elementary school has an amazing group of kids ranging from preschool age to those big 5th graders.

We're Alaskans so even when the outside temperature is only 40 degrees the kids are on the playground tossing off their coats and playing in just their t-shirts!

My Project

Although we are a tough bunch should the situation arise where we are forced out into the cold rain or snow, or even inside an unheated building when outside temps are as low as 20 degrees below zero, we will be in grave danger. A Mylar blanket for each person is one fairly inexpensive way to help us keep our students safe.

It's not always the big things, or even the most exciting things that our students need.

Sometimes something small and shiny is the one thing that can make a difference between life and death. Help me help our students, staff and volunteers stay warm and alive in case of emergency by funding my project to provide a Mylar blanket for each and every one of us.
