My students are in grades between Kindergarten and Third grade and have emotional disabilities. I provide a lot of their basic needs in the classroom. Many of my students are behind in their skills and need these things to help them try and catch up with other students in their grade. I want to do everything I can this school year to help them get at least a year's growth and make some serious gains in their education and in their confidence.
My Project
The reason I am asking for help for my students is because I work for an inner city school and my students are in a self contained classroom due to their Emotional disability. These centers and other materials I have asked for will help them increase their reading and writing. Most of my students are about two to two and half year behind other students in their grade level. I not only work with them on their social skills but their academic skills as well. I am trying to raise their reading and writing skills a whole year this school year. The Vocabulary folder game, the Reading folder game, Phonics folder game, and the Writing folder game will be used as centers when the students are done with their lesson. I want the to increase all of their skills this year to hopefully make some serious gains. The Math Lego set is used to help with their math skills.
