My students are amazing. They come to school prepared to learn and try their best to achieve our high expectations every day.
Our school is located in a low-income area with most students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
Most of my students have limited resources outside of school, so our school may provide their only chance to experience enriching activities. My goal every year is to create an environment that is warm, safe and welcoming while maintaining a fun, creative learning atmosphere.
The ability to read, understand, process, and recall what was just read not only helps students academically but increases thee enjoyment of reading in their personal life. The requested online subscriptions will give students the ability to practice reading comprehension, fluency, spelling, and vocabulary at school and at home.
Reading is one of the most important skills a child can have.
RAZ-Kids provides students with interactive, online books that students can read at their individual level. Books can be read to the students, students can read books and click on words to hear them, or students can read the entire book on their own. After each book, there are a series of questions for students to answer. By reading books that are at just the right level and answering questions about those books, students will build crucial reading skills.
This subscription to Spelling City.com will give my students and their families an opportunity to work together to increase their reading skills, word decoding, and vocabulary knowledge. Reading is not just about being able to read the words, but also being able to understand what you have read.
Please help my students by giving them additional and meaningful instructional technology reading practice. Your donation will provide these deserving students with individualized instruction, which will help them become awesome readers!
