My group this year are some of the most caring, energetic, curious, and hilarious children I've had so far in my four years teaching. We are located in Clifton, VA, and come from a variety of backgrounds. We have a variety of interests and needs, but all have a common sense of curiosity that motivates us to ask questions and learn new things every single day.
We learn from each other and support one another as we work towards accomplishing our personal goals.
We have worked very hard to turn our classroom into a positive and safe community, and it is amazing how a large group of unique students can make each other feel welcome and accepted.
My Project
The wobble stool is needed for students that have high energy and need constant movement to focus. This chair will support their energy and allow them to focus through all parts of the day- whole group lessons, partner activities, independent work, and small group learning.
The noise cancelling headphones are a necessity for the students that prefer a silent work space to stay focused, because with a group of 27 third graders, sometimes our environment has a lot of learning noise.
I have two pairs already, but that means only two students can use them. With four more, I can support six kids!
The Dog Man series are a hot-commodity in our classroom. I only have two books in the series and my kids will be thrilled to add more of these books to our library to share!
