My Students

"Every child is an artist." -Picasso

My students range from Kindergarten through 6th grade, with each student possessing a different level of artistic ability.

Each year more and more students come into my art room lacking fine motor skills or needing differentiating of instruction. Education is becoming more individualized, with each student having different needs.

My hope is to help provide each student with the tools needed to be successful. Although all my students get excited about art class and try their best, I want to be able to give them access to specific materials that will accommodate their varying needs.

My Project

I am asking for a variety of accessories and tools to assist some of my students. My students need a variety of tools and accessories that will assist them with fine motor tasks, such as drawing and cutting. The fine motor accessories will help assist students who need help with simple tasks such as cutting, drawing, and painting. The paintbrushes have a special shape, as to make gripping easier. The pencil grips will help students have more control of their lines. The assistive scissors will make cutting possible for students who struggle or maybe haven't have practice cutting. The slant boards will make it easier for students to write and draw.

Helping students be more successful will boost their confidence and sense of pride in their artwork.

My goal is for all students to be successful in their own way. The fine motor supplies will make this possible.
