Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am blessed to teach a very eclectic group of students. I have Gifted and Talented students and students with learning challenges. I have physically challenged students and students with other health impairments. I teach students whose families are economically challenged and some who are homeless.
Regardless of the challenges my students face, they come to school every day eager to learn.
We are the number one middle school academically in our district and one of the top schools in our large city.
My Project
This project of 8 wobble stools will allow students to be better engaged in learning and provide flexibility and comfort in the classroom. I recently received 3 of these stools for my classroom and the difference in the students' attention span is amazing.
My middle school students are able to get their wiggles out while staying engaged in the lesson which has already had a positive effect on their grades.
A comfortable classroom will help motivate students. It will also improve engagement and accountability. Focus is one of the most difficult things for preteens. These stools will help students stayed focused on their work.
