My Students

My 25 first grade students are an excitable, inquisitive, hard working group. They have been doing a great job while learning via the computer during distance learning. They participate, they are focused, they have fun, and they are learning!

My class is a very diverse bunch.

They represent a mixture of learning styles, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. No matter how diverse they are, my students are able to grow and learn together as a community.

My Project

Dry erase boards will help my students be successful in distance learning times. The individual lap size boards are two sided. They have lines on one side and is blank on the other side. We currently are using a piece of paper I have inserted in a plastic sleeve. After time, the sleeves wear out. We use our current boards daily throughout ELA and Math times.

Having a sturdy dry erase board that can be used in ELA and Math is ideal, especially in distance learning.

We use writing lines during phonics for blending words and we use a blank board for math to show our work on a daily basis. Having a board will also make it easier for my students to show their work to me through the computer screen.
