Help me give my students materials like a talking calculator, cardholders, and various school supplies to be successful in a regular education classroom!
All of my students are visually impaired or blind. These students do the same work as their classmates when their work is modified. These materials make it possible to learn alongside their peers as they do the same work. By making charts, maps, graphs, math facts and many more assignments tactile and auditory, it gives them a chance to stay in the classroom with their friends and keeps them motivated. They are all so thankful for anything that someone does for them. They are truly my sunshine and remind me to appreciate life.
My Project
All of these items will help children with visual impairments or blindness learn in a classroom alongside their peers. The talking calculator will be used with earphones so that students can do the same assignments as their classmates. The Braille money labeler will allow children with blindness to participate in assignments, classroom behavior rewards, or games that use paper money. The ink pens and markers will allow students to see their work more efficiently, preventing fatigue. Glue sticks are used to adhere textured materials to make lessons more meaningful.
By staying in classrooms, children are learning the same material and teaching others to be more accepting of others.
