My students need these iPads to receive individualized lessons and to be able to work independently during centers.

My Students
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited to see their friends and teachers. My students can tell you that "reading gives you knowledge and knowledge is power " and that they are the class of 2030, because I want them to know that they can succeed.
I teach at a Title 1 school on the west side of Chicago where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Many of my students face hardships everyday outside of school but are eager to be at school and do their best. They know that you have to "bear down" and come to school, no matter what, so that they can have the option to go to college and be successful.
My Project
The resources that I chose for this project are iPads. I chose iPads because students love to use technology. Technology can spit out information faster than an adult giving students problems, so students get "at bats" at a faster rate. This allows students to practice more skills on a daily basis.
These iPads will be used during independent learning time and will allow students to learn at their level.
I also envision students using the iPads to listen to books and complete some recordings of their work.
Overall the iPads will be great for the students and teachers! I anticipate students growing reading levels and working towards their goal.
