My Students

My students are those with unique learning styles, students who more than not, struggle to learn inside the regular education setting. They come to me excited to be in a learning environment that meets their individual needs.

They all have wonderful hearts, attitudes, and the drive to learn as much as their little minds can hold.

However, we aren't a district with very many resources. Our budget is tighter than most, as we are a Title I public school serving only 320 students K-12 grades. Therefore, things other districts take for granted, our kids would consider invaluable.

These students deserve the very best education I can offer them. They need to be challenged and pushed at each of their individual learning levels and that is exactly what I have set out to accomplish for them.

My Project

Research has shown that blending technology with face to face learning can greatly impact the education of at risk students. By providing my classroom with ONE iPad, my students will be able to build on the knowledge they are gaining during individualized instruction.

"The world needs all types of minds." is a quote by Temple Grandin that fits my students perfectly.

They are all unique individuals....all with different learning styles. Yet, each one can benefit from the use of apps, research engines, and the many other capabilities the Apple iPad offers.
