Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our students here are phenomenal learners! They are super creative and have such great imaginations. These materials will help our students learn to regulate their emotions when they are having difficulties regulating themselves. Here we strive to not only help kids grow academically, but emotionally as well. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given the tools that speak to their social emotional needs. They almost always make good choices but when they have difficulties, we try to find engaging activities and books to help them socially and emotionally.

The donations to this project will help to improve my students’ understanding of and competency of emotions and behaviors.

Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand when they are emotionally regulated. Having been home for two years, our students need assistance with social skills and how to emotionally regulate themselves.
