My Project

We are all 100 days smarter so far this year! As a new first grade teacher at my school, I love getting to know my students and my new classroom! My goal is to continue to set it up in such a way that the students feel supported, motivated and organized. I can clearly see there are many tools the students love using to stay engaged and actively learning. One of our favorite tools is the dry erase boards. I inherited some dry erase boards and we use them every day but most are damaged and stained. They are great way to incorporate phonics and word work while using them also for a clipboard when writing around the room! The math connecting cubes are a must for first graders in being able to group tens when adding and subtracting to 100. The flexible seat will be perfect for my student with special needs. He will finally be able to sit comfortably with the class on the rug. The library will be complete with a read aloud display to get the students excited to see what's to come and reflect on what we've read. They will LOVE the non-fiction reading options and will be lining up to read the new books! My students are extremely enthusiastic and love learning. I am thrilled to have this oppotunity to bring them these amazing tools! Thank you so much!
