In our Early Childhood classroom, we have 20 students that range in age of early three-year-olds to five-year-olds preparing for Kindergarten. We serve students with IEPs, too. We have to differentiate our curriculum drastically to ensure that all students' needs are met to learn the curriculum.
My students are special because they have very unique personalities and diverse needs as learners.
There are three teachers within our classroom: a lead teacher, a lead instructional assistant, and an instructional assistant. We work together as a team to provide the best support and love for our students.
My Project
Imagination fosters cognitive and social development and the dramatic play center in our classroom is an excellent place for kids to use their imagination. The baby dolls and accessories will help the kids to play house, doctor, and other fun scenarios.
In early childhood education, critical thinking skills and creative problem-solving abilities are goals for children's development.
We utilize centers for a large portion of our day in preschool, and one of the centers in the room is dramatic play. The new materials will encourage students to choose dramatic play during centers and give them an opportunity to use their imagination. The students love this center and will use the baby dolls, high chair, telephone, and hairdressing kit to use their imagination and put their creative problem-solving abilities to use!
