Imagination Station

Help me give my students a project cart for everything they need to put STEM skills into action as they invent, innovate and discover with tools, tubes, gears, and wood supplies.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 23 first graders with a variety of different learning needs. My students are motivated and succeed with imaginative play, hands-on kinesthetic learning, and movement. They have mixed interests, abilities, and goals. I am also currently in my very first year of teaching.

My students love science, but have never had the opportunity to fully experience STEM or science the way they should.

These first graders are loving and deserve all opportunities at their fingertips. They are fearless when it comes to trying new things. Although needy at times, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage their world. Children deserve the opportunity to explore, imagine, create, and invent! These 23 first graders are the future of the world.

My Project

Maker Space project carts provide hands-on learning, help with critical thinking skills and even boost self-confidence. Maker Space carts can have a significant impact on student learning and development. Research states, "Maker Spaces are increasingly being looked to as a method for engaging learners in creative, higher-order problem-solving through hands-on design, construction, and iteration." I want to implement STEM into my classroom. Students will be able to simply focus on imagination, and not whether their materials are going to fail or not.

With the new Maker Space cart and its included materials, my students will be able to explore, imagine, and build a future we can't imagine yet.

The Engineering Design Process will help students through their thinking. This will help students succeed in any subject area. If students are not provided with the resources, how will they be able to imagine and invent in the future? These first graders are our future! What do you want to see for the future?

This Maker Space cart will make a difference in all aspects of each student's life (academically, socially, and mentally). Please help my dream come true as a first-year teacher and the dreams of all 23 students.
