My Students

My Superstar students are children grades Classic K-5. They have a love for reading and learning about the world around them. They also love to read stories that help to activate their imagination. They are learning about literacy and how important it is to become lifelong readers.

Each student has his/her own strengths.

We have approximately 340 students. We are a school of choice district, so some of our students are neighborhood kids while other travel across town to attend school. We have students from all income levels. We are currently at maximum enrollment, and we even a couple of students over capacity.

My Project

Maker-space is a popular movement across the nation. Maker-save activities are important because they allow students to be innovative as they bold, create, tinker, and explore. My goal as a librarian is to begin planning and implementing lessons that foster creativity and innovation. The materials requested such as the Circuit Maze, Marble Maze, and Brain buildings will be used to help introduce students to what MakerSpace is and why it is essential to our future. The Infinitoy ZOOB Building Bot and 3Doodler Mega Pen Set will allow students to use their imaginations to explore in order to help them discover their strengths and interests.
