This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My scholars live in one of the hardest hit areas of the COVID19 pandemic. This pandemic is wreaking havoc in their lives. Their socioeconomic status has not prepared them for this new norm.

Yet, they are resilient!

They show up for learning remotely the best way they know how.

My Project

A laptop/computer has now become a crucial tool in the remote learning classroom. In order for scholars to succeed in this pandemic, a laptop/computer is necessary. Using a laptop in conjunction with a projector has always been one of the most effective ways to present information and visual images to my scholars. It is now imperative to do so.

Many of my scholars are visual learners.

Images have to be presented to them in a way that is coherent and concise in order for them to make connections with their everyday existence.
