You know the saying, "The future is in my classroom." I noticed that the students had the basics, but I would love to branch out to get my students excited about our classroom learning environment. My classroom will be filled with 20 brilliant children, who come from a close-knit, rural community. Their brilliance shines in their enthusiasm for learning, their compassion and support for others, and in their courage to embrace every day of learning and make it their own. Together, my students and I will form a classroom community that recognizes that when we bring our differences together and support one another, then we brilliantly shine.
Since the future is now, I would love to safely teach every one of my learners to work toward their fullest potential.
I can't do it without your support. My project will reach students where half of them come from low-income families. I would love to get them supplies to protect their devices so that families aren't having to pay additional fix-it fees.
My Project
Our school is going back to face to face learning with the governor's executive order requiring face masks for people over the age of 5. I am hoping to help alleviate learning challenges due to requiring face masks that muffle the sound of my already quiet voice.
Please help me acquire a voice amplifier, classroom doorbell, Clorox wipes, and pencils.
I have a very quiet voice, even when I'm using my "teacher voice." I think that having a voice amplifier will help students hear the directions in a more clear and concise manner. In addition, the classroom doorbell system will allow me to get student attention quickly when they are doing so much independent learning within the classroom. As you know, Clorox wipes are like gold in a COVID-free, friendly classroom. I would love to have an extra supply to utilize for the daily cleaning of student desks. Finally, pencils are a supply that frequently get lost in the crowd. My school purchased pencils for students for the school year if they signed up to learn in school. I worry that they won't have enough pencils and that, once more students return back to school, the pencils won't be enough.
All of these supplies will help supplement and support student learning as we work through a very challenging school year.
