My 3rd graders are diverse, eager, and excited to dive into an innovative year of learning and growth! Many of them are multicultural minorities coming from low-income households.
Technology extends students' knowledge beyond the classroom in an environmentally friendly mode of access to a plethora of resources and programs that enhance learning!
Students in my class are sharing, caring, and active members of the classroom. They are eager to start project-based learning this year and would benefit from daily access to technology. Chromebooks will increase their opportunities in education.
My Project
Technology in the classroom is more essential now than ever! Students are acclimated to technology being used for a variety of learning experiences. Unfortunately, though, not all schools can afford full access to technology in the classroom.
These Chromebooks will be used daily in learning centers, to differentiate student learning, increase engagement, and to provide access to current information and news.
Students will learn individually on different levels through the use technology, while gaining responsibility and career readiness skills. They will use Google Drive to share ideas, create presentations, and type essays. Students will work on differentiated ELA and math skills through IXL, Zearn.org, Prodigy, and other educational sites. Students will also engage in class presentations through Nearpod.
