Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach an amazing group of fourth graders who want to learn and be challenged! My students are passionate critical thinkers. Each day, they strive to learn more, do more, and be more. They know the more they learn, the more they grow! Their futures are bright. Combined with their desire to learn and incredible support, they are destined for success.
My school is a Title I school where 95% of the population are English Language Learners.
Most students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Hardships at home affect many of my students. Reading is an amazing way students have to escape their home life. Our job as teachers is to create an environment that is safe and full of opportunities for success.
My Project
I have a very large class of excited students. I love to find new ways for them to learn. Everyone’s personality is very different. Some students love to be the center of attention, while others learn from the sideline. These books will help me motivate my students to learn in their own way. I want to go beyond the curriculum and help my students in life.

The buzzers are a fun new addition to help everyone participate without feeling the pressure of being called upon. This is extremely helpful for my ELL students. I want them to participate what they are ready.
