My Students

Students at my school are proud, always respectful, willing to work hard, and smart and successful. They are always striving for the best. When students come to music they are eager and excited to learn. When they come to my music room I want them to have a proud moment of "Ah-ha" or finishing a musical piece and it sounding better then they expected.

These student may have hard home lives, but they come to school knowing that they are loved and are in a safe place.

Expanding their knowledge of music by bridging today with yesterday is a stretch for them, but they try with what they have and hope to come again to improve or practice and succeed at a skill. They work hard to make me happy, and they work hard to make them successful. They understand that hard work will eventually pay off.

My Project

Gathering drums will help students that struggle with beat and rhythm by being together with their classmates. Gathering drums also allow me to help my students by being the example and in turn allow students to model for each other and help their neighbors. Using a gathering drum will keep my students on beat and in rhythm.

Gathering drums can create a musical environment of wonder and excitement through beat and rhythm!

I want to give my younger students an opportunity to play an instrument and enjoy music through it and not just singing and dancing. They do so well singing and dancing that I want to add more to their musical knowledge.
