My Students

I teach Introductory Chemistry and AP Chemistry at the high school level in New York City. My students are extremely creative, motivated and thoughtful! They love engaging activities and challenges and I am seeking to provide them with additional lab resources.

My students are particularly passionate about the hands-on lab experience in chemistry and it is our goal to expand and modernize the laboratory component in our science classes.

We have a truly remarkable group of students who are constantly seeking to grow and learn!

My Project

My students are extremely motivated, especially when it comes to connecting the classroom material to the lab experience. One major goal in the Science Department is to continually improve the lab activities we offer our kids. The best way to approach this task is the provide the students with the best technology available.

The spectrophotometers will allow my classes to perform new lab activities including Concentration Determination through Beer's Law as well as Rate Law Determination of the Crystal Violet Reaction.

Both labs are also commonly performed at the college level and exposing our students to these procedures will be greatly advantageous for their future studies in the sciences.
