I have a diverse group of students who run the gamut on culture, academic ability, and socio-economic status, but they all have one thing in common: potential.
My students are talented, funny, hard-working, charismatic, quiet, shy, determined, strong, inspirational people who have agreed this year to always try and to maintain positive attitudes.
My students this year are very interested in extra curricular activities as well and bring their talents into the classroom. They have many skills, and this year, we will put them to work!
My Project
Any functional classroom has basic tools. Those tools include but are not limited to pencils, a functioning sharpener, and cords that connect to headphones. I called my project, "I'll Have What She's Having" because when I look around at classrooms that seem to have any more success than mine, I realize there are some simple pieces missing, so I'll have what she's having!
These materials will allow my students to get down to work without the daily, sometimes hourly, distraction of locating materials.
The classroom will be equipped with the necessities and my students will have one less source of stress while they work.
My students will be researching the Holocaust this semester as well as reading related novels and then completing a unit about how their choices affect their futures. These supplies would allow them to do this much more efficiently!
