Student engagement is key in the classroom! Students being active is part of our daily routine! The students in our school are simply amazing! They are collaborative learners, encourage their peers to always do their best, and are such hard workers! My students are very energetic and love to dance, sing, and be able to move about the classroom!
Students continuously put in their best efforts to be the best learners they can be, which makes me beyond proud to be their teacher!
We are part of an amazing rural Title 1 school, where students receive 100% free breakfast and lunch.
My Project
An iPad in the hands of a student leads to endless learning and possibilities. In my third grade classroom, students are constantly accessing programs, websites, and activities on a several types of devices. However, only having a limited number of devices in my classroom, creates the problem of how many students can be on a device at one time learning and exploring. Having three additional iPad devices in my classroom, would increase the ability of students to collaborate on presentations and documents, as well as access to academic websites and programs that present individualized learning. Students would use these additional iPad devices independently, in centers, and during whole group activities to increase engagement and student success.
As a teacher, it is my responsibility to prepare my students for their futures and careers.
In order to achieve these, students need to be equipped with technology, and engage in computer literacy skills for them to be successful in jobs that may have not even been created yet. Having additional iPad devices in my classroom will help accomplish this. Students needs to be familiar with creating, collaborating, exploring and researching to be successful in today's world. Having the iPad devices will provide students with these opportunities and create endless learning possibilities!
