Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My second grade dual language students live in an economically disadvantaged community, and many were affected by Hurricane Harvey this past August. Even after the terrible tragedy that they went through, they come to school every day ready to learn and spend time with their classmates. Like every other kid, my students dream of becoming great global citizens with wonderful careers in the future.
Even though they are facing the disastrous outcome of Hurricane Harvey, they are strong kids and are very enthusiastic about learning new things.
When I see my students, I see all the potential they have to be a very successful citizen of the 21st century. I admire my students because they are motivated to become a better person and to achieve all their goals.
My Project
In the era that we live on today, technology plays an important role in our lives. We use it everyday and everywhere. Nowadays a business needs to incorporate technology in order to be successful. Even though technology has many advantages, it has one drawback: is ever-changing.
My 21st century global learners need to be exposed to the latest technology in order to keep up with our ever changing tech-savvy world.
This iPad will give my students the opportunity to expand their learning. We will use this iPad in many ways in our classroom. There are many great learning apps that the students can use to enhance their learning in a fun way. My students can also take videos of themselves explaining their new learning and share it with the class or even their families. We will also use this iPad in our workstations and small group instruction. Having this type of technology in our classroom will be fundamental to our education.
