If you were a student in my room, your day would be jammed packed with a long, exciting day of learning. We have a variety of learning methods in order to each each individual in our classroom. We are a team of 20 eager learners, and work together to support one another.
I have the honor of teaching 20 motivated 9 and 10 year old students who are eager and enthusiastic about school and learning.
Please help us enhance our learning and creativity with the addition of more iPad minis. I teach at a rural school where many of my students do not have the capability to be exposed to any form of technology outside of the classroom environment. It is imperative that all of my students are given the opportunity to explore the capabilities of technological advances in today's society. Every child in my classroom has a strong desire to learn. They are a lovable, energetic, and are constantly sharing their knowledge with each other. By allowing exposure to technology through the use of iPad minis, my students have and will continue to become more adept in utilizing the technological advances available in today's society.
My Project
Having more iPad's in the classroom would open up a world of more opportunities for my students. With the current apps that are available, as well as built in features, students have been using the iPad Minis in a multitude of ways. With Reading, students can listen to books, practice their spelling words with magnet letters, write their words on the whiteboard, take Reading quizzes, amongst other things. In Math, students can utilize the iPad mini through the multitude of applications available to develop and explore critical math concepts. In Virginia Studies and Science, the students have been able to do research on numerous topic areas and be involved in project based learning. The amount of educational applications are endless, and this will also allow me to differentiate my instruction to meet the needs of all of my learners.
There are so many ways that the addition of more iPad minis will benefit our classroom!
They will continue to be a motivating and exciting way for students to extend their learning. The iPad minis will continue to help propel my students into the future, which is rich with technology. Having the opportunity to interact with technology will enhance my students learning experience, both in and out of the classroom.
