My Students

My students need IPad's to enrich my lessons and keep up with the ever changing world of technology.

Our school contains 45% of low income students and a mobility rate of 11%.

Like many other districts, ours is struggling financially. For many of our students the school day is their only opportunity to use technology, which is vital for their future. The IPad's would be a reliable resource that would allow us to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of my students.

My Project

They will use these iPads to read iBooks, create presentations on Google Docs. They will also use the iPads to practice math fluency facts using Xtra Math that will set the foundation for future success in mathematics. RMS creates engaging and effective lessons but what we are lacking is technology for these 21st century students.

This donation will improve my classroom in many ways.

I currently have 26 students and only 1 iPad to share among all of them. Having one more iPad will allow me to help more students, making the ratio 13 to 2 as opposed to 1 to every 26 students. Students will have updated technology to use for learning.
