Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are from a low-income Title I school. We have a limited amount of outside support and they face struggles both in and out of the classroom. Through all the challenges that they are faced with they are still curious and excited to come to school.

My students are enthusiastic about learning and have a passion for learning new material.

They are curious and enjoy learning about the world around them, through movement-based activities. These students love to read and engage in positive conversations with their peers and teacher. They enjoy including their teacher in their everyday life because I see their full potential as they come in my room.

My Project

Students will be using Kindle fires to get on reading A-Z a program that allows students to read books, listen to books and boost their comprehension. These tablets would make it so all my students would be able to have a tablet to work on during the day. My ESL students will be able to listen to the book and learn new words in the process.

The kindle fires will be a great asset to our learning resources and help my students become better readers.

This will allow for students to boost comprehension with fun quizzes and earn stars for their reading.
