My Project

I love to read and nothing is better than sparking that passion in my second grade students! Putting quality literature in their hands not only builds a sense of excitement and engagement, but grows their skills as they read in small groups. COVID-19 has impacted our young learners by stealing away critical in-person instructional minutes. With our kids consistently back in school, it is important that we are intentional with our reading instruction and consistently meet with kids in intervention groups to target their specific needs. Using high-interest text at their level is crucial to grabbing and maintaining their interest!
