My Students
Teaching first grade is my passion. Some of my first graders, unfortunately, come from challenging backgrounds with things no child should ever encounter. Many students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Some come to school in the dead of winter with no hats or mittens. No matter what their situation is at home, my first graders are still so eager and excited to learn new things. They all deserve the best education and that is my ultimate goal each and every day.
My Project
As we approach the end of the year, many of my students have made significant gains in their reading levels. This is amazing, but they are struggling to find enough nonfiction texts for their book bins. Your donation will give these fabulous readers more titles to choose.
We have a new health curriculum and need appropriate and engaging texts to help students learn the importance of staying healthy. My students love to be read to and these texts will provide various opportunities for read alouds and free choice reading.
My students have a true love of reading and your support will help them continue their journey of being lifelong readers!
