My students need these Chromebooks to continue becoming 21st Century learners. We want technology to be an integral part of every subject area using the amazing applications and websites that are available to us!
I teach in a school that calls itself "the greatest school on Earth" because we believe that. What makes our school so great are the students in our classrooms. They come from various backgrounds and neighborhoods surrounding our school area. My students are the reason I love coming to work and I want to do something for them!
My students are all learning to become leaders of themselves and be positive role models for our school.
We are learning to be proactive and be in charge of ourselves in the classroom. There are 26 leaders growing in this room and I am excited to see what they will achieve this year. These students all have desire and smarts to reach to the sky!
We are learners for the 21st century and we utilize technology on a daily basis. These students will be ready for a workplace that we have not even yet thought of! I want to continue to encourage them to have big dreams, high expectations and grand plan to get there!
My Project
They need access to Chromebooks so they can be comfortable and confident in it's use. They can present their thinking using Blendspace and Chatterpix. They can work on furthering their academic growth using programs like Edgenuity. They can write stories using Storyboard. They can practice reading fluency and phonics using Starfall and Storyline Online.
They can do projects using research tools and writing applications that can only be provided through technology sources.It is not lost on me that these young people will come of age, go to college, get jobs in a whole different world than the one we are in now.
They need the technology and skills to be able to excel!
