My Students

The school district I teach in is an urban district surrounded by rivers and the Chesapeake Bay. My school is a Title I school. My amazing students love technology and learning in the 21st century classroom! They are also really into science and hands-on experiences. Many of my students struggle with reading and I am always looking for new ways to keep them engaged. Almost all of my students come from military families and have lived all over the world!

My Project

My students have access to Chromebooks daily to help with their learning. These are such great educational tools! However, many websites require sound or are difficult to maneuver with the Chromebook touchpad. The headphones in my classroom are around 10 years old and falling apart. Also, I only have a few pairs for 25 students! Additionally, we only have access to a few computer mice. These mice are pretty old and the wires are always in the way! Earbuds and a wireless mouse for each student would help solve these problems. My students would be able to access the educational programs we use much more efficiently!
