Kindergarten is such a big year for students! In my kindergarten class, I make sure to have a welcoming classroom environment so that my students love coming to school! For a lot of them, this is their first time experiencing school. Each of my students are unique in their own way. Even though they are all different in some way, we are still one big family that loves to be around one another.
Our students are our future, so it is important for them to gain the experiences and knowledge they need to reach their full potential to do great in the future.
To do this, we need to integrate different resources and materials in the classroom. This not only gives our students the experience and knowledge they need to succeed, but it also engages them to build their love for school and learning!
My Project
My kindergartners thrive off of any hands-on time that they get, especially when they are given the chance to create things! We love using Friday mornings for our creativity time. Even though they get hands-on time activities every day, doing some fun art is the best way to end the week.
If you give a kindergartner some art supplies, they'll use their imagination to create something amazing!
With the upcoming winter holidays, we are picking out our crafts to decorate our classroom with! I love giving my students a role in creating our classroom environment. Our classroom has been missing their art pieces, so now that students are in person, our classroom is becoming more and more vibrant each day!
These supplies will be used for all of our future crafts in the classroom for (hopefully) the rest of the school year! I am excited for my students to put their creative minds to work.
