My students need Sit Spots and padded stools for use during whole group meeting time and guided reading stations. They also need organization bins for reading and math stations.
Kindergarten is a wonderful and exciting time in a young child's life. Some of my students come with very little prior knowledge or experiences with math and literacy while some come to me reading and fluent with numbers. We work together to teach and help each other be the best we can be!
My kindergartners are eager, energetic, and ecstatic about learning!
They come from different families and background but they never fail to make me smile with the perfect timing of a hug or with their newly learned skills and abilities!
My Project
The Sit Spots will be used to organize students during our whole group meeting times providing them their own designated area in which to sit. They will also be used to designate special places in line such as line leader and caboose. The padded stools will be used for students to be more comfortable at the computer and iPad stations. Our reading and math stations are coded by color at the beginning of the year then by letters and numbers. These bins are going to help students become fluent in their letters and numbers while helping to organize our reading and math materials.
Organization is key in Kindergarten and these items will be great visuals to help students see and stay organized!
