My Students

My students are the driving force of the culture and environment of our new school as its population will be comprised of students from three neighboring elementary schools. We will be a melting pot of cultures, races, economic levels and personalities! My students need more instruments to make music together every lesson, every student, every day! They are bright-eyed and can't wait to get instruments in their hands; they want to experiment, create and figure out what makes them a musician!

My Project

My students need a bounty of instruments to strike, scrape, and shake!! They love to get an instrument in their hands. With these instruments, I will be able to let more students play at the same time so we can make music as an ensemble.

The cabasa and guiro are scraper instruments while the tambourine, maracas, and wrist bells are shakers.

These instruments will allow my students to experience a VARIETY of sounds and will make our pieces POP off of the page. Everyone knows that students learn through playing and doing. Please help my students do both this year!
