My Students
My students are amazing kids who live in rural Wisconsin. Many have one parent or both parents working and are required to help out at home.
Some take care of younger siblings while others are working to help support their families.
My Project
In today's world more families are relying on their children to help with day to day meal prep.
In my basic cooking class, I teach the skills they need to accomplish this and so much more. Students are learning to cook within a budget and understand the benefits of a home-cooked meal.
A typical class consists of six kitchens each allowing four students to practice the skills of basic cooking techniques.
In my class, I demonstrate the lesson of the day and then students get hands-on experience in their lab. Having the right equipment is essential in reaching this goal.
