My Students

My school is a Title I school in Sacramento that focuses on Science. The children come to school excited to learn and grow! Because it is a lower income area the children do not have many opportunities at home, so they love all the things they get to explore and experience at school!

I enjoy seeing them light up when they solve a problem or learn a new skill.

It is amazing how much they change and mature over the course of the year.

My Project

In Kindergarten it is important for the children to learn the letter names and sounds---these alphabet tubs are a great way for them to be able to see and touch things that start with different letters!

Most 5 year olds don't think of themselves as Scientists or Engineers, but I want to change that with these STEM kits!

My goal is to expose the children to a variety of science and engineering related items that help foster their desire to learn about new things. They are learning about these topics without even knowing it through play, which is awesome.
