My Students

My students are my inspiration. They are the reason I make these projects. Everything I do is for them, and they know that. They know they are loved. Our classroom culture is something we work on from day one. These students need that for optimum learning.

I teach at a Title I school, in Tennessee, where all of our students receive free breakfast and a large percentage free lunch.

I want to give them a love for learning during the short year they are with me. My method is simple, make learning fun and engaging. We also throw in some life lessons in there, too. I feel it is important to meet the needs of the whole child.

My Project

While sometimes it is important to sit still, sometimes learning isn't quiet and is very active.

That's where the blocks come in.

We have some large letter blocks, but we need some basic blocks and ramps. They can and will be used in a variety of ways. They will be used in math and science as they complete different STEM projects (i.e. Who can build the tallest tower using 12 blocks?How can you use a ramp to make a car roll farther?). And who doesn't like to just play with blocks on a rainy day when we can't go outside?
